Guest Post: Wine Cocktails for Your Summer Fling Parties

Summer is in full tilt and I have teamed up with Advanced Mixology to present to you six easy to make cocktail recipes on the base of wine and sparkling wine. I hope you enjoy the read as well as the cocktails themselves:

„Wine is best drank alone; it’s what makes it special. Yet some people love to have other flavors on their wine and enjoy it better in cocktails.

It’s also a good way to improve the taste of cheap red wines and a perfect way to enjoy your wines without the need to aerate or decant them. Here we chose some simple wine cocktails to get you started if you are not familiar with them. With just 2-4 ingredients to each, these cocktails would not be so hard to make.“

Wine Cocktail Recipes

1) Raspberry Spritz

This is a good drink if you want some fun without going tipsy too quickly as the club soda lowers the alcohol content in the wine. You’ll surely love the rose-scented, raspberry-flavored spritz. You won’t need anything special here since you only need the wine and a club soda from your pantry or fridge.

Ingredient

  • Raspberry wine
  • Club soda
  • Rose petals
  • 1 Rosebud

Procedure

  1. Fill a wine glass with ice and rose petals.
  2. Pour in raspberry wine and top with the club soda.
  3. Garnish with a rosebud.

2) New York Sour

This cocktail is one of those fancy riffs from a basic one, this from a whiskey sour. Made fancy with the addition of egg white, blue curacao, and red wine, making it a beautiful lilac. Any whiskey you have is good enough also for this mix.

3) Strawberry Kiss

Give everyone a strawberry kiss the next time you throw a party. This is a lovely cocktail for your summer parties. Strawberry liqueur is easy to make. Just infuse some sliced strawberries in your vodka for at least 48 hours and strain. This liqueur can be stored in airtight bottles and can be used for your cocktails. Any sparkling red wine will do just fine with this cocktail.
